sitting on my bed in my room... i should be sitting by my table, squeezing all the facts and factuals in my mind but nope, random thoughts came in my mind... to think about it, none of this should have happened. i dont even remember how it started... all i know now is that we've broken into groups, fighting against each other... "whats the point?" is all i can think now.... its kinnda dumb....... well, prolly these are just the random thoughts i always have at night when the tiring day is over and im resting my body, thinking about anything and everything... perhaps next morning we'll wake up to see tweets etc that offends us and that angry side of us seem to take control... then world war 4 begins....

Just spent 15mins in popo's room, sitting next to her, listening to the stories bout her past. How much she hated ahgong cause he used to scold her, how he lied to her bout his age when he wanted to marry her, how he told popo that he actually had a wife in china and even had a son, how my 2nd uncle mixed with bad friends n got hooked on drugs, how my 1st uncle (who was the kid ahgong had w his first wife) took care of my 2nd and 3rd uncle, how much my mum loved to cry when she was young, how she was given sweets from the japanese, how my great grandfather worked for the Japanese (?!) etc etc. Telling me these stories caused her eyes to tear a little...

Then I came out to the living room n lay on my sofa. And suddenly, thoughts that went 'what happens when popo leaves?' overwhelmed me. And before I knew it, tears were streaming down my cheeks. Popo was the one who took care of me since young. She was never educated so all she knew was to scold us with vulgarities. But nevertheless, she treated me n sis really well...

I'll remember how I got her her fave tapioca cake from the pasar malam just now and she ate it so happily. Then when I was having my dinner, she took one of my 4 pork rib and started complaining on how expensive that box of rice was. After awhile, she pointed to another and say that one no meat etc. I knew she was just being greedy and she wanted another. So I passed it to her and told her to eat it. And she began to smile so cutely... Ah... If only I had the whole scene video-ed down...

just some random pictures from SYF 2009. those were the times i was still a novice player, where i had seniors who had superbly good cello skills covering all my lousy skills. it was just like the chinese saying "hun shui mo yu" for me. now its totally different. in around 2 more days time, its the SYF again. this time, there are no longer any seniors to help me. its me. we will be wearing the same costume, performing at the same stage, with the same conductor. just this time round, the 80 people are no longer the same as before. this new batch of 2011, will be performing the set piece 'zheng (journey)'and the chosen piece 'dong' on the 20th of April, Wednesday, at 11.10am. please lend us all your luck on that day for just a mere 15mins or so. we would appreciate it. Happened to stumble upon a web and saw something which made my mood drop totally... I've been in such a tough position... And No one understands (well, except 'you') what I'm going thru. I hardly have any time for myself, my friends, my boyfriend, my family. Yet someone's comment on a random page can make me feel so upset... Just hoping 20th of April will hurry arrive and we will be clinching the Gold With Honours filled with glory. Then I will officially step down of my position, get out of my CCA, focus on my studies 100%, bond with ALL my friends, have dinner with my family more often, spend more time with the boyfriend other than to and fro tuition/ home journeys, bring my popo out once in a while, juggle everything well. That's the day I will be waiting for...... It will come, right? Yes it will... But another big question... Are these people willing to give me a chance by waiting till then so I can make up to them??? Nah....... Doubt so.... Sigh, lifes so difficult.

I need to fight against time. Every second, the clock ticks. Every second, you're making a decision. To continue blogging? To head to bed now? To have this for breakfast? What time to wake up tmr? She has been a very hyper girl who has always been very bubbly. she makes me smile and goes wild with me when i am just soooo sian during all the CCA practices. we play, we talk, we sing and we *ahems* outrage each other's modesty. ive known her so much better and grown so much closer to her through the 6 days in taiwan. but never, would i imagine that there is actually a sad story behind those smiles and laughters...

currently shes undergoing a terribly tough phase in her life that i believe she'll never forget for the rest of her life... it sure is a saddening news... but... it happens to everyone... just that this poor girl has to experience and undergo during her adolescent years...

behind every smile, every tear... theres always this story hidden inside... whats most important is how we handle and control our emotions.... do we show it? do we leave it hanging? or, like this girl, do we not let it affect our moods at all?

dear girl, i dont know if you will ever see this post but... just know that i'll always be here for you okay! we may not be the closest friends but... theres still this 'something' between us eh? heh, please stay strong and continue to see life in such a positive manner.... i salute you for your strength and your bravery... i love you girl!!

If only time can be stretched, so I can do so much more... All I need now Is for the clock to stop ticking away so I can finish all my tasks on hand, without having new ones that constantly piles up... Ive got so much work to do, so much skills to sharpen, so much duties to accomplish. I need time. My commontest results are just a piece of shit. Never once in my education life have I failed any subjects. Moreover, this time it's 2 at a time n the rest are just passed. To think my patents think I'm all stressed up with my work and doing very well. To think they have sooo have hopes on me. To think im not doing any of that sort actually... So disappointing....

School begins in just afew more hours for me. It's 2011 yo. The awesome almighty O will be awaiting me in just afew more months time. My weekly schedule is practically booked tightly with just a sat (and maybe Friday *fingers crossed*) for me to let loose some stress and whatsoever. CCA 3 times a week, tuition 5 times a week and 1 day of work. I sense a very not-boring year ahead. I'm just hoping my body and mind can handle every subject, every duty and responsibility well enough to satisfy everyone. This is my year. I've got a whole family watching me or maybe more of my results. I sense the stress and pressure but I'm just gonna console myself with 'it will all be fine', let out a sigh or maybe afew tears and continue the ardous road. This tough life begins here. And ends in 11 months time. I can't wait till then. Olvl, you are just nothing but a piece of shit that I will stomp and trample on. Then that 'shoe' will never appear in my life again ;D

i miss taiwan. i miss the 17degree weather where i'll be wrapped in at least 4 layers of clothes. i miss the people in bus2 where we sing and laugh like mad. i miss our cute tour guide qiqi. i miss my crazy roomies: jinli wenqi and sinyei. i miss walking through the long streets of the bustling night markets. i miss taiwan's awesome food. i miss their nice people. i miss playing the cello infront of a huge hall/auditorium of people where your fingers are literally freezing and you still have to keep shaking it to "rou xian". i miss playing mambo no.5 for the schools and them shouting with us. i miss the times we catch the soft toys in their arcades, screaming whenever we got a toy. i miss the long plane rides. i miss talking crap to my conductor. i miss the times we soaked our legs in the hot burning water in the cool weather. i miss the times when we eat icecream even when it was 15deg+raining. i miss the damn sweet oranges we are always served after each meal. i miss their ji dan gao, bing tang hu lu, milk tea. i miss taiwan.

It's 3:42am and here I am in YoAi Hotel in Yilan, a state of Taiwan. This hotel is mad freaking awesome cause there's wireless internet thru the whole hotel and my iPod touch can be put into full use.

Taiwans awesome. It was 24deg when we arrived but now it's 16deg and I'm shivering non stop already. The teeth can't stop chattering too. Gahh my layer of fats are so uselesssss. Piece. Of. Shit.

Food here is damn good. The night markets are awesome. Everythings so yummy!!! However the things here ain't cheap at all. Everything is at least NT100 which is equivalent to SGD5++ even a small pair of earrings cost this too! Siaooo.

Okay I'm crapping with my roomies jinli wenqi and sinyei now. Mad funny HAHAHA more stories when I return. Till then!

cello exam was a disaster. the blisters i had on my fingers were... dumb. but ohwell, i didnt fail it can alr. winks winks. sharlalalalene is away in ko-lee-year and i miss her so so much. cant believe i cried when leaving her on fri. love that little white hamster so much thou the 2 of us quarrels the most. hehehe hor hor hor. taiwans in 8 days, christmas in 20 days and new year in 26 days. then a hectic year for me begins. 2011, youd better be good to me.

the wedding lunch buffet at marina bay sands on 23rd october.

yet another close cousin just got a ring attached on her finger. me and sissy used to stay in her house when i was like pri5 or so and i clearly rmbed her dolling us up, bringing us out in the night and all. fond memoriess... but well, glad shes got a hubby now. hah.

welll, i didnt manage to go around MBS so i cant really comment about it but it was quite.. classy i guess. it was just a simple buffet lunch in the suite the couple booked... they were given 2 suites, one which consisted of the bedroom, a karaoke room, a gym/massage room and a big 'living room' with a big dining table. the other suite had a pool table, balcony etc. it was still during the hazy period that time so every scenery was practically covered with grey smoke or so. nothing really fantastic. to pay $30 (??) to go up there and see the scenery is a dumb thing one can do. the scene from the bangkok hotel was much better. so, dont get duped unless well, youre lucky, like me (teehee), to be able to go up there for free. if not, just wait.

right now, im just crossing fingers for my grade 6 cello exam this sat.

sitting down and listening to lessons seems to be the hardest thing possible to accomplish now.
handing work on time is even worse.
(fyi, im owing my teacher a truckload of maths assignments, as much as over 50 now i guess.)

my old habits are so hard to kick.
guilt pricks me when i realise im exposing my horrible sight to those loved ones around me again.
but its so... difficult.

remember once, someone said: 'if only theres one with charmaine's heart and cheryl's look, that'll be the perfect one.' and i immediately shot you back: ' well thats good for me and bad for you cause you cant change your looks (well, unless you go for plastic surgery which 1. daddy will never allow, 2. i doubt you want too) but i can change my attitude and character (heart).' hehehe but after searching through thousands of pictures to make your birthday present + surprise, i cant help but think that youre actually really pretty too... both in the heart and the looks.

i'll never forget the time when you flew for HK last dec and left me that present quietly as i refuse to wake up to send you off (WHICH!!! is cause i cant bear to and not cause i cant wake up okaayyy!!!) i really couldnt help it but to cry when you confirmed with me if i really didnt wanna send you off and when the sound of our door closed... it was thru then that i really realized how strong a bond we've actually grown for each other, it was then that i confirmed my life would be soooo diff without you...

i cant wait, for you to migrate to australia and to open up your veterinarian or maybe your own zoo with your angmoh hubby while i open my law firm here in sg with mine (Whom, is NOT balasamikukusami or anything near that!) and well, both our families will fly and visit each other from time to time....

Thailand, Bangkok
16-19 June 2010

well, during the 3rd week of the hols, me and mummy visited thailand's bangkok, which is also known as the 'land of smiles'. their buddhist culture is really strong with up to 70% of the population being buddhist. their buildings were really specially shaped and mostly, golden. the people were really courteous and friendly too. they never fail to smile at you, greet you, bow at you. it was... really nice.

Day 1
took the airplane at around 7am and sat for 2hrs to bk.

guess what i spot from the plane!!!

an oxbow lake!!! hahahah

and finally, we reached bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport!

checked in our hotel etc etc and we began shopping alr!
pratunam mall, platinum mall.

shes really pretty!
shopped around platinum and got hell loads of stuff.
everything was sooo cheap.
wahahaha.
shopping therapy indeed!
shopped till night, went back to the hotel and fell asleep.

Day 2

we managed to come to this lucky buddha, which only opens once a month!
we were really lucky huh.
...
then we visited... the king's palace or something?
something like our istana i guess...
(P.S! you see me in a thick jacket and in their long skirt cause i was wearing a sleeveless top and shorts and it was said to be disrespectful to go in like that. tsk! so i was kinda suffering, under the sweltering sun in that thick jacket and long skirt ); )

and after that, we headed to shopping again! (;

yumms, 1 of my fav thai food: phad thai!

then in the night, we went back to the hotel, bathed and dressed up before heading for the state tower, lebua hotel.
its a 5star hotel and you will not be allowed in if youre not properly dressed.
went to sirocco, the bar thats 64 storeys high. and from there, you could get a birds-eye view of the whole of Bangkok.
the night scene was really spectacular and it was realllyyyyy cooling!
however my lousy canon camera couldnt snap a good photo... tsk!
so heres 3 pics i stole from the web and the rest below were my lousy cam's.

there was a live band there on the right too! damn cool.

well, their toilets were, needless to say, really nice too.
it smelled great and everything was just so classy!

of course, their staff were really courteous and nice too, where they will bow at you when you walk pass them etc.
it just felt so.. grand.
amazing.

Day 3

i get heart shaped sunny side ups for almost all my breakfasts! (;
then we went for our half day tour...

it was really quite scary when i climbed all the way up...
the steps were really small and i could have fallen easily if i wasnt watching where i go.
kinda frightening. but i still made it (;

then we went to visit a super duper pathetic floating market.
where only 2 sampans came. -.-

well, people on my boat were feeding these fishes with white bread...

then, how could we not visit the famous four-faced Buddha huh...
(hopefully he/she will answer to all my prayers!)

the works of the angry red-shirts who were unhappy with the political issues and whatsoever...
what a pity, i couldnt visit this huge mall.... );
its quite unbelievable to think that this were done by friendly thais...
welll, there sure are black sheeps...

pictures of their king was EVERYWHERE!
within 10mins, you'll definitely see a picture of him!
then at night, we went to meet 2 of mummy's friend.
and had dinner at this really nice place...

there was a band performing on the stage there and behind was the screening of world cup
(which, in thailand, was free everywhere if im not wrong)

super yummy mango sticky rice.
really fragrant and... sigh, miss it so much.

afterwhich, we visited their chinatown...

where birds nest where sold almost everywhere...
had 2 bowls! yum yum...

Last Day.
headed to well, the famous weekend bazaar, chatukchak in the morning.
was really hot and... yucky but it was a great place to get cheap goods.
then we went back to the hotel for a rest and headed to the airport.

caught the SQ plane back (which had a pathetic no. of only 33 passengers on board) and reached SG at 1am.

i was lazing on my sofa, watching MTV.
when all of a sudden, michael jackson's thriller video came up.
i screamed and changed the channel straightaway as daddy saw and got so excited.
then mum, whos washing bowls in the kitchen, heard it too and rushed out.
too bad i changed the channel but was still a tad late for them to be able to watch it.'
then mum came and shouted, demanding me to change back the channel.
i refused and got spanked on my ass. twice.
what the shit.
so i ran into the room crying.
ah, what a loser.

its been a yr since uncle michael died.
1 yr since all that nonsense.
im kinda braver now but it still haunts me.
in my mind he still is a damn scary and freaky person.

why am i always trying to amend things at the wrong time? why does it always seem like others dont care when im trying so much? why are things so hostile?

its time i teach myself whos good to me, whos not. who are the ones always there for me and who are not. who are just using me to get what they want for themselves, not bothering if their actions are even hurting me, who i can trust, whos worth my tears, who are truly what they call themselves as my friends.

because why bother putting so much time and effort in people/things thats not even worth it when there are more important things/people you may have left out when you were trying to save those?

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA
DEC 2007...

this warm almond tea with pearls was HEAVENLY! i miss it so so much... );

since i cant go anywhere this holiday, i can still reminisce about the past ones righttt!

sigh, a beautiful city with breathtaking sceneries afew kilometres out of town.
it was summer but i remembered it being reallyyyy chilly... never once could we leave the hotel without a jacket.
streets were filled with horse carriages, awaiting for passengers to hop on for a round around town with that fairytale mood.
shopping was good but the price wasnt as fantastic...
food was... normal cause we really werent into the ang moh food.
overall, it was still an unforgettable trip i'd say... (:

now, im just using every minute of my life, to pray that i can go to Bangkok on tues/wed.
comeon, stop giving me false hopes...
i miss the excited and jittery feeling when the plane leaves the platform and shoots into the sky...
the stomach will get all ticklish and the mood just boosts as the plane flies higher and higher.

so lets see,
leaving our primary school and separated into 3 totally diff secondary schools sure did pull us apart...
we did promise each other to mantain that strong friendship in between each of us,
to cry, laugh or play tgt.
but as i see, and realise, it sure is an uphill task to do so.

with this year whoozing past sooo fast,
i;ve never been able to catch up with time...
there were celebrations, a huge quarrel, a new 'gang', new bestfriends, lost some, new terrible, hard-to-catch-up-with subjects and so on so forth thats been flying in and out of my mind.

story 1) : i waited at bugis for 3 guys for more than an hour. tsk! then we headed for steamboat!

this is unglam to the max but ohwell, i think it must have been really funny..

okay this really makes me feel like puking even more now that im alr not feeling very well as i blog this... ugh

then all of a sudden in the midst of everyone eating, jiafu and glenn said they were going out of the shop to take a breather. and yeah... however it was after more than an hour that i found out they were gone and so i asked jaslyn where they were and the excuse i got was real damn stupid: someone was in trouble and they headed back to amk to help them. i was not quite into believing it at first... and finally at 9+, we left the shop and took a bus back to amk. called glenn and this was his reply "hello, i very busy now. call you later" and the line went off. was kinda pissed by then... they were gone for more than an hour or two! tsk! so i went to get macs for sis and i left the group and headed home. bathed and suddenly sis passed me a present, and said they came up to pass it to her long ago. and i was totally super shocked when i saw the present because prev when i went ikea with them they said it was for jiafu's mum. and please lor, it was so real... but then i continued applying cream on my monster face. then sharlene texted me and said she, wy and dm was below my block and told me the directions where to find them and all. so i went down and suddenly, i saw collin sitting at the place. was totally surprised and i didnt know what to do. but i walked in and in the end i saw all of them : jaslyn, glenn, jiafu, jiayin, collin, yiming, zongda, ah de, rowell, wen xiu, ah kor. they were really not who i expected. only then i realised that sharlene and my sis was in cahoots with them! tsk! cant believe i totally fell for it. and it was also till later then that i realised the reason why jiafu and glenn sneaked away quietly for 2hrs or so was cause they were looking for a shop to develop photos but none was open and they had to seek ms keisha's help in the end to use her printer. trust me to be even angry with them for "running away" quietly, with not even a proper 'bye' nor a good reason for doing so. omg, i was so touched when i finally knew the truth...

thanks ya'll for the amazing plan + surprise, seriously...
it was a blast. totally memorable and unforgetable...
(theres so much more details i had to leave out or this post will be damn super long...)

story 2) so we all planned to meet at AMK at 2.20 sharp and before that i was still texting them, asking them to push the time earlier because my parents were gonna have dinner with me that night. and blahblah, everything was really real. at 2.12pm, sharlene called and said "eh where are you? 8 more minutes to 2.20 leh!" and i was actually all dressed up but lazing on my bed, twittering. so i "oh oh-ed!" and rushed out of my house. god knows how, when i was walking out of my lift, still reading twitter on my bb, suddenly 3 girls 'boo-ed' and 'happy birthday-ed' me! i got the shock of my life and i literally jumped. even the neighbour who was in the same lift as me got scared. HAHAHA. was super duper shocked + surprised andd, they even got me a bouquet of 5 sunflowers! yippeee! andd, they home - prepared lunch for me so we went back up to my house to eat! spaghetti, potato salad, salmon, nata-de-coco milk tea and a soup. (: afterwhich, we watched "hes just not that into you".

lastly, we went to a coffeeshop near my house to have dinner and the four of us headed to somerset + cineleisure.
however, my stomach was hurting so super duper damn horribly badly, i was having difficulties walking around and it totally spoiled my day. fuck you stomach.

in the end i couldnt take it and asked dad to come fetch me and i went to see a doctor, who diagnosed i suffered from food poisoning.
oh well, told you all my birthday was cursed.
now you trust me? (:

however overall, i still rate my 15th birthday an 8/10!

it was like i was standing against a strong storm,
alone, terrified, not knowing what to do nor how to react, trying not to allow things around me turn oblivious.
the storm came suddenly, out of the blue, unknowingly, unexpectedly.
i didnt know how to react. to run? to scream?
no words seemed to be able to escape through my lips.
i was trying to distract myself with things, keeping myself occupied as i listened,
so as not to show a scared front.
however, im still not that strong afterall.
tears fell. i could no longer deceive myself.
a constant question in my mind: should i scream for help? what was the best way to phrase things?
i dont know.

it seems like the other villagers all knew that a storm was coming.
but none informed me?
yes, perhaps they wanted me to face it myself so i can learn.
but no, thats not what i'll wish for, if i had a chance to even choose.
i dont blame them. infact, im trying to take it in a positive manner.
but the question is why?

now im very scared, because many other things may happen.
a tsunami, a flood, an earthquake, who knows?
all these can happen in just a minute or two.
but the time needed to get everything back in order requires years.

they always say, the rainbow will only come after the rain (storm)
and the storm is an opportunity to let you learn how to stand strong and independent, to face it. so you can welcome and embrace the colourful rainbow.

after such a long time, leaving things dangling there, not taking a step forward, concentrating on other things around such as exams etc, whats in the future simply seems dark, unknown, mysterious, scary...

p/s, im not trying to say the whole storm was a bad thing that happened. infact, im thanking mother nature for being such nice to place a foot forward. what she did, may bring unhappiness to some. but of course, happiness to others too.

this weekend has been quite greattt.

rotting at home on fri afternoon, then iron man 2.
working on sat morning, giving tuition to a little 6yr old boy and shopping at bugis with dear jaslyn.
lastly jap buffet in orchard cineleisure, the back up plan and roaming around orchard and bishan with my sis and 2 cousins.

more to look forward to next week!

anddd, the day i turn a yr older on sunday!
